Lake Eyre Scenic Flights

After receiving large amounts of rainfall over the last few weeks, the Outback is looking amazing! Beautiful green vegetation is springing up everywhere and waterholes and springs have been replenished with valuable fresh water. Lake Eyre (Kati Thanda) currently has a significant coverage of water (particularly the North Lake) which is awe-inspiring to witness (particularly from the air) and will remain for tourists to see over a number of weeks to come. With more rainfall predicted in the next couple of months, there is an expectation that the waters will persist further into the tourism season, bringing increased numbers of marine life and birds. This is absolutely a great time to come and visit the Outback.

Chinta Air offers day tours over Lake Eyre from Rawnsley Park Station, on the South side of Wilpena Pound. The full day includes a scenic flight over Wilpena Pound, the Bunyeroo, Brachina, and Parachilna Gorges, the towns of Leigh Creek and Marree, Muloorina Station, Lake Eyre South and Lake Eyre North / Kati Thanda. Lunch is at the William Creek Hotel and includes tea / coffee, water / soft drink / juice (alcohol is available but not included).
