Maralinga scenic flights
3 February 2016
The recent edition of RM Williams magazine, Outback, has an excellent article on driving across the Nullarbor. One highlight not included was Maralinga, located North of the Perth-Sydney railway line. In the 1950s and 1960s, the British Government conducted nuclear bomb tests at the site and built a town which was home to servicemen from every country in the Commonwealth. From 1 April to 31 October, day tours with a scenic flight over Maralinga and the test site depart from Ceduna each Tuesday or Thursday. Please call (08) 8625 9051 – bookings essential.
