South Australia offers some amazing scenery, which is equally spectacular from the air!
Chinta Air operates scenic charter flights from three bases across South Australia:
Rawnsley Park Station:
Rawnsley Park Station is located on the South side of Wilpena Pound, in the heart of South Australia’s Flinders Ranges. The station offers accommodation ranging from award-winning eco villas to self contained cabins. The Rawnsley Park caravan park offers stunning views of Wilpena Pound, with powered and unpowered bush camping sites. Chinta Air offers fixed wing charter flights from the Rawnsley Park Station airstrip all year round.
Ceduna, on South Australia’s Far West Coast:
Located on the edge of the Nullarbor, Ceduna is known as the Oyster Capital of Australia. With endless miles of isolated beaches, and untouched bush and salt lakes to the North, Ceduna is a destination for all seasons.
Chinta Air offers scenic charter flights from Ceduna Airport all year round.
Nullarbor Roadhouse (a seasonal base)
From late June to late September, Chinta Air has an aircraft based at the Nullarbor Roadhouse. From there, we offer scenic flights over the Nullarbor and the Great Australian Bight Marine Park. During winter, Southern Right Whales gather in the Park to socialise, give birth, and breed.
A scenic charter flight is a flight that takes off and returns to the same airstrip, with no stops in between.
Scenic flights depart on demand (ie please book to ensure you get your preferred date and time of flight). Charter flights depart with a minimum of two people.
All scenic charter flights with Chinta Air are in an aircraft with high wings (this means the wings are located above the passenger cabin, and do not obstruct views of the scenery). As a result, every passenger is guaranteed a window seat.
Every passenger is supplied with a headset, to hear the pilot’s commentary in flight, and learn more about the scenery and history of the area.
